Shakespeare & Social Justice
SCLA's Shakespeare and Social Justice (SSJ) initiative is a national program for educators. It offers an urgent and innovative curriculum that illuminates Shakespeare’s texts through social justice principles, encouraging and supporting students in artistic action against bias.
Aligned with English Language Arts standards, the curriculum draws upon SCLA's three decades of nationally recognized arts-based social justice youth programming and furthers our commitment to investing in arts education as an investment in identity, diversity, justice and action for all.
